Hands-On therapy trial aims to ease debilitating back pain

NCT ID NCT05018780

Summary

This study tested two different hands-on physical therapy approaches to see which works better for easing pain and improving daily life in people with sacroiliac joint dysfunction, a common cause of low back pain. 76 participants were randomly assigned to receive either Muscle Energy Techniques or Sacroiliac Joint Manipulations, along with standard therapy like heat and exercises, over six weeks. Researchers measured changes in pain, movement ability, and quality of life to determine which method provided better relief.
