NCT ID NCT06268704

Summary

This study aims to find out which of two common steroid medications provides better and longer-lasting pain relief when injected into the sacroiliac (SI) joint for lower back and buttock pain. Researchers will randomly assign 230 adult participants with diagnosed SI joint pain to receive either a dexamethasone or methylprednisolone injection. Participants will report their pain levels immediately after the injection and then be followed for three months to compare how well each medication works and how safe it is.
