New combo therapy aims to tackle tough lung cancer

NCT ID NCT07175220

First seen Jun 27, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026

Summary

This phase 2 trial is testing whether combining the experimental drug SHR2554 with other anti-tumor treatments can safely shrink tumors in people with advanced non-small cell lung cancer that cannot be removed by surgery. About 200 participants will receive one of three drug combinations over 21-day cycles. The study focuses on safety and how well the tumors respond, with the hope of finding a new treatment option for this serious disease.

What this could mean

Our plain-language read of the trial. This is informational only — not medical advice or a prediction.

Active substance

SHR2554 tablets combined with other anti-tumor drugs (SHR-A2102, Adabelimumab, or SHR-1701)

What this could lead to

If successful, this could point toward a new combination treatment option for people with advanced non-small cell lung cancer that is not curable but may help control the disease.

What could go wrong

This is an early-phase (Phase 2) trial with only 200 participants, so results may not apply to everyone. The combinations may cause side effects or fail to shrink tumors as hoped.
