New shot offers hope for teens battling severe, itchy skin

NCT ID NCT07309055

Summary

This study is testing an investigational injection called SHR-1819 to see if it can safely reduce the severe skin rash and intense itching of eczema in teenagers. About 200 teens, aged 12-17, whose eczema hasn't improved enough with standard creams will receive either the real injection or a placebo (dummy shot) for comparison. The main goal is to see if the treatment can clear or almost clear the skin and significantly reduce itch over 16 weeks.
