First seen Jan 24, 2026 · Last updated May 13, 2026 · Updated 13 times
Summary
This study looked at whether showing people pictures of their knee damage and the new joint taken during surgery helps them feel better and move better early after a total knee replacement. About 80 adults with severe knee arthritis took part. The goal was to see if seeing the inside of their own knee could improve pain, function, and quality of life in the first weeks after surgery.
