First seen Jan 24, 2026 · Last updated May 23, 2026 · Updated 14 times

Summary

This study looked at whether showing people pictures of their worn-out knee cartilage and the new artificial joint during surgery helps them feel less pain and move better afterward. About 80 adults with severe knee arthritis who had a total knee replacement took part. The goal was to see if seeing the damage and repair could improve early recovery.
