Can extra showers before surgery stop dangerous infections?
NCT ID NCT06801275
Summary
This study is testing whether taking more showers with a special antiseptic soap before surgery for a slipped disc in the lower back can help prevent infections at the surgical site. Researchers are comparing different numbers of showers in 86 patients to see which approach works best. The goal is to find a simple, safe way to reduce a common and serious complication of back surgery.
