New injection tested for stubborn shoulder pain
NCT ID NCT05569174
Summary
This study tested whether an injectable drug called secukinumab could help adults with moderate-to-severe shoulder tendon pain that hadn't improved with standard treatments like physical therapy and pain relievers. Over 24 weeks, researchers compared the drug to a placebo injection to see if it better reduced pain and improved shoulder function and quality of life. The goal was to see if this drug could offer a new option for controlling this persistent and painful condition.
