Study tests if physical therapy can help some avoid shoulder surgery
NCT ID NCT07192302
Summary
This study is comparing two treatment approaches for people with a partial tear in their shoulder's rotator cuff who also have a stiff shoulder. One group gets surgery within 6 weeks. The other group tries a 6-month physical therapy program first, and only gets surgery later if therapy doesn't work well enough. The goal is to see which approach leads to better pain relief and shoulder function over a year.
