New patch aims to speed shoulder recovery after surgery

Summary
This study is testing if a dissolvable collagen patch helps people with significant partial shoulder tears recover their daily activities faster than the standard surgical repair. About 234 adults who haven't improved with other treatments will be randomly assigned to get either the new implant or the standard surgery. Researchers will track pain, shoulder function, and how quickly people return to work and sports over time.
