Could two common substances speed up shoulder recovery?
NCT ID NCT07285746
Summary
This study tested whether injections of atelocollagen (a type of collagen) and hyaluronic acid (a natural lubricant) can help shoulder tendons heal better after repair surgery. Researchers followed 124 patients for two years after their operations, checking their recovery with MRI scans and measuring pain and shoulder function. The goal was to see if these substances, alone or combined, improve healing compared to surgery alone.
