Shoulder surgery debate: to cut or not to cut the biceps tendon?

NCT ID NCT07289334

Summary

This study compared two surgical techniques for repairing torn shoulder rotator cuffs. Researchers wanted to see if cutting the long biceps tendon during surgery provides better pain relief and shoulder function than leaving it intact. The trial involved 60 adults with specific types of rotator cuff tears, using ultrasound and shoulder function tests to measure results one year after surgery.
