New shoulder surgery aims to get athletes back in the game faster
NCT ID NCT07257081
Summary
This study is testing whether adding two specific surgical techniques during shoulder instability repair helps athletes return to their sport at the same level of competition. Researchers are comparing 120 adult athletes with shoulder injuries, randomly assigning them to receive either the standard surgery or the surgery with the added techniques. The main goal is to see which group has more athletes playing at their pre-injury level (recreational, competitive, or professional) one year after surgery.
