Shoulder surgery showdown: to repair or not to repair?
NCT ID NCT04728282
Summary
This study is comparing two versions of a shoulder replacement surgery for people with severe shoulder arthritis. It will test whether repairing a specific shoulder muscle during the operation leads to better pain relief, shoulder function, and fewer complications over two years. About 284 patients will be randomly assigned to receive the surgery with or without this muscle repair.
