Steroid shot tested to ease shoulder surgery pain

NCT ID NCT04507412

Summary

This study is testing if giving a common steroid medication (dexamethasone) during shoulder replacement surgery helps patients feel better afterward. Researchers want to see if it reduces pain and nausea, helps patients move their shoulder sooner, and lets them go home from the hospital faster compared to standard pain treatments. The study will also check for any side effects from the steroid.
