New nerve block aims to let shoulder surgery patients breathe easier

NCT ID NCT07486349

Summary

This study is testing if a newer nerve block technique for shoulder surgery causes fewer breathing problems than the standard method. Researchers will compare two types of numbing injections given before surgery to see which one less often leads to temporary diaphragm paralysis. The goal is to find a safer way to manage pain after shoulder operations.
