New shoulder numbing technique aims to reduce breathing risks
NCT ID NCT07173894
Summary
This study is comparing two different ways to numb the shoulder for surgery to manage pain afterward. The standard method is very effective but can sometimes cause breathing problems or arm weakness. The newer method aims to numb just the shoulder area without affecting breathing. Researchers will measure pain levels and side effects in 64 patients to see if the newer method works as well but is safer.
