Shoulder surgery study: does implant placement matter?

NCT ID NCT05297305

Summary

This study aimed to find out if placing the upper arm implant inside the bone (inlay) or on top of the bone (onlay) during reverse shoulder replacement leads to better results. It involved 19 patients with severe shoulder arthritis or rotator cuff injuries. Researchers measured arm movement, strength, pain, and quality of life for two years after surgery to see if one method was better.
