New rehab approach aims to speed shoulder recovery after surgery

NCT ID NCT06851650

Summary

This study compared two physical therapy programs for people recovering from rotator cuff surgery. Researchers tested whether starting specific shoulder blade strengthening exercises in the first week after surgery leads to better shoulder movement and strength than starting those exercises later. The trial involved 30 adults aged 30-50 who had surgery for a small-to-medium rotator cuff tear.
