First seen Mar 31, 2026 · Last updated May 02, 2026 · Updated 4 times

Summary

This study looked at whether adding a cortisone injection and mild joint stretching to standard physiotherapy can better reduce shoulder pain and improve movement in stroke survivors. It involved 50 adults in a rehabilitation program who had shoulder pain after a stroke. The goal was to compare pain and motion changes over 3 months between those who got the injection plus physiotherapy and those who had physiotherapy alone.
