Drug trial for chronic shoulder pain halted early
NCT ID NCT05758415
Summary
This study tested whether a drug called secukinumab, given as an injection, could reduce pain and improve movement in adults with persistent, painful shoulder tendon problems. About 60 participants with moderate-to-severe pain that hadn't improved with standard treatments like physical therapy and painkillers were involved. The trial was stopped early by the company to focus on other projects, so final results are not available.
