Swim style secrets: which stroke shapes young shoulders?
NCT ID NCT07425873
First seen Jun 27, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026
Summary
This study looks at how four swimming styles—freestyle, breaststroke, butterfly, and backstroke—affect the shoulder muscles of 28 young swimmers aged 12 to 18. Researchers measure muscle tone, stiffness, and elasticity to find differences that could help coaches design better training and prevent injuries. The goal is to understand, not treat, so no new treatments are tested.
