First seen Jun 05, 2026 · Last updated Jun 17, 2026 · Updated 5 times

Summary

This study looked at the soft tissue inside the shoulder joint of 40 patients to better understand why some shoulders become unstable. Researchers compared tissue from people having surgery for shoulder instability with those having surgery for other reasons. The goal was to see if damage to this tissue, called the antipodal capsular fold, is common and could be a target for future treatments.
