Car accident shoulder pain? chuna therapy put to the test
NCT ID NCT06624800
First seen Jun 25, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026 · Updated 1 time
Summary
This study tested whether adding shoulder Chuna therapy (a type of manual joint adjustment) to standard Korean medicine could reduce shoulder pain in people hurt in traffic accidents. The trial planned to enroll 98 adults with acute shoulder pain, but it was terminated early. The main goal was to measure pain changes using a simple 0-10 scale.
What this could mean
Our plain-language read of the trial. This is informational only — not medical advice or a prediction.
Active substance
Shoulder Chuna therapy (a manual therapy technique) plus standard Korean medical treatment
What this could lead to
If it had succeeded, this could point toward a non-drug option for easing shoulder pain after a car accident.
What could go wrong
The trial was terminated early, so results are limited. It was a small study (98 people) and only looked at short-term pain relief, not long-term outcomes.
