Scientists race to cut TB treatment time in half

NCT ID NCT05766267

Summary

This study is testing whether two new 4-month drug combinations can cure lung tuberculosis as effectively as the standard 6-month treatment. Researchers are comparing these shorter regimens to see if they clear the infection faster and are safe for patients. The trial involves 288 people with active TB and aims to make treatment easier to complete.
