First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 17, 2026 · Updated 26 times
Summary
This study tests whether two shorter, 17-week drug combinations can treat pulmonary tuberculosis as effectively as the standard 6-month regimen. About 288 adults and teens with active TB will take one of three daily pill regimens. The goal is to see if the shorter treatments clear the infection faster and are safe, potentially making it easier for patients to complete therapy.
