Home sooner after surgery? trial tests 24-Hour hospital stay for prostate procedure

NCT ID NCT05912764

Summary

This study is testing whether patients who have laser surgery for an enlarged prostate (benign prostatic hyperplasia) can safely go home after just one night in the hospital, instead of the usual two nights. It involves 440 patients and focuses on a care plan where nurses help coordinate recovery at home. The main goal is to see if this shorter stay works just as well without leading to more serious problems or return trips to the hospital.
