Could 5 days of antibiotics be enough for leg infections?
NCT ID NCT05584007
First seen May 20, 2026 · Last updated May 20, 2026
Summary
This study compares a 5-day course of the antibiotic flucloxacillin to the standard 7-day course for adults with leg cellulitis. The goal is to see if the shorter treatment works just as well in controlling pain and preventing the infection from coming back. About 334 participants will be randomly assigned to one of the two treatment lengths.
