First seen Apr 21, 2026 · Last updated May 23, 2026 · Updated 6 times

Summary

This study looks at whether reducing registered nurses' work hours by about 3 hours per week (with no pay cut) improves their work environment, work-life balance, and overall well-being. About 190 nurses from elderly care and home care will answer surveys before and after the change. The goal is to see if shorter hours help nurses stay healthy and want to keep working in these demanding jobs.
