New dental implant design could help patients avoid bone grafts
NCT ID NCT07162389
Summary
This study tests whether shorter dental implants (7mm) work as well as standard ones (11mm) when placed in the back of the lower jaw. Both types use a special shallow-thread design meant to reduce stress on the bone. Researchers will track how stable the implants are during the first 4 weeks of healing in 10 participants to see if shorter implants could help people with limited jawbone avoid bone graft surgery.
