Radiation showdown: short vs long course for rectal cancer

Summary

This study compares two standard radiation schedules (short-course vs long-course) given before surgery for locally advanced rectal cancer. The goal is to see which approach leads to a better tumor response and fewer side effects. About 150 adults with rectal cancer that has spread locally will participate.
