Shorter dental implants could mean less surgery and faster recovery

NCT ID NCT07417293

Summary

This study is testing whether using very short dental implants (4mm) is better than using longer implants (8mm) that require a separate bone grafting procedure for people who need teeth replaced in the upper back jaw. Researchers want to see if the shorter implants lead to less surgery time, less pain after surgery, fewer complications, and similar long-term success. The study will involve 35 adult patients who have healthy gums and enough bone for the shorter implant.
