New device aims to grow intestines for patients with short bowel syndrome

Summary

This study is testing a new medical device called the Eclipse XL1 System. It is designed to be placed inside the intestine to gently stretch and lengthen it over time in patients with short bowel syndrome. The main goals are to see if the device is safe and if it helps improve patients' nutrition and weight. The study will include both children (as young as 3 months) and adults up to age 65.
