First seen Jan 25, 2026 · Last updated May 15, 2026 · Updated 17 times
Summary
This study looks at whether adding a neutral shoe insert to standard physical therapy can reduce pain and improve function in people with long-term lateral hip pain (greater trochanteric pain syndrome). About 36 adults with hip pain lasting over 3 months will be randomly assigned to get physical therapy plus a real insert, a fake insert, or therapy alone. Researchers will measure pain and disability at 12 weeks and 6 months.
