First seen Oct 31, 2025 · Last updated May 15, 2026 · Updated 26 times
Summary
This study tested whether combining two non-drug treatments—shockwave therapy and cold therapy—can reduce shoulder pain and stiffness in stroke survivors with rotator cuff tendonitis. Thirty participants aged 50–70 with moderate to severe shoulder spasticity were split into groups receiving one or both therapies. Researchers measured pain, movement, and daily function to find a better way to help stroke patients regain arm use without medication.
