Shockwave and cold therapy team up to fight Post-Stroke pain

NCT ID NCT07196267

Summary

This study tested whether combining two physical treatments—shockwave therapy and cold therapy—could better reduce shoulder pain and stiffness in people who developed rotator cuff tendonitis after a stroke. Thirty stroke survivors were divided into groups to receive either standard physical therapy alone or standard therapy plus the two combined treatments. Researchers measured pain, shoulder movement, and arm function to see if the combination offered more relief and improved daily activities without using drugs.
