First seen Jan 07, 2026 · Last updated Jun 09, 2026 · Updated 27 times
Summary
This study tested two treatments for tennis elbow (lateral epicondylitis): extracorporeal shock wave therapy (ESWT) and phonophoresis (ultrasound with gel). Sixty adults with elbow pain for at least 3 months took part. Researchers measured pain, hand grip strength, daily function, and tendon thickness using ultrasound. The goal was to see which treatment works better for easing symptoms.
