Shock waves zapped at shoulder pain in new therapy trial

NCT ID NCT07410260

Summary

This study tested if adding a treatment called extracorporeal shock wave therapy (ESWT) to standard physical therapy works better for shoulder impingement. Thirty adults with shoulder pain were split into two groups: one received shock waves plus physical therapy, and the other received only physical therapy. Researchers measured changes in pain, shoulder movement, and sleep quality to see which approach helped more.
