NCT ID NCT06531746

First seen Dec 26, 2025 · Last updated Apr 20, 2026 · Updated 21 times

Summary

This study tested whether a treatment called extracorporeal shock wave therapy could help people with lower cross syndrome, a condition where certain back and hip muscles become too tight while others become weak, leading to pain. Researchers worked with 40 adults aged 30-45 to see if the shock wave treatment could reduce their pain levels and change the electrical activity in their tight back muscles. The goal was to find a non-invasive way to ease symptoms for people with this specific muscular imbalance.
