Summary

This study tests whether a shorter course of high-dose radiation (6 sessions over 2 weeks) is as safe and effective as the standard 12-session schedule for people with stage IV lung cancer. The goal is to reduce side effects like severe throat pain while still controlling the cancer. About 37 adults with advanced non-small cell lung cancer who have not had extensive prior treatment are taking part.
