Summary
This large, completed study tested a new COVID-19 vaccine called S-268019-b from Shionogi. Nearly 10,000 people who had not been infected or vaccinated before participated. The main goal was to see if the vaccine could prevent people from getting sick with COVID-19 compared to a placebo shot.
