Ancient touch therapy tested for modern heart disease symptoms
NCT ID NCT06197165
Summary
This study is testing whether a specific type of Japanese massage called Shiatsu can help ease symptoms and improve quality of life for people with severe cardiac amyloidosis. Researchers will compare a version of Shiatsu targeted at specific symptoms to a general 'comfort' version and to no massage at all. They will measure changes in symptoms like fatigue, pain, anxiety, and sleep problems in 108 patients over several weeks.
