First seen Jun 26, 2026 · Last updated Jun 26, 2026 · Updated 1 time

Summary

This large study will test whether adding Shexiang Baoxin Pill (Muskardia) to standard treatment helps people who have had a heart attack. About 9,588 participants will receive either standard care alone or standard care plus the pill for 12 months. The goal is to see if the pill lowers the chance of further heart problems, stroke, or death.

What this could mean

Our plain-language read of the trial. This is informational only — not medical advice or a prediction.

Active substance
Shexiang Baoxin Pill (Muskardia)
What this could lead to
If it works, this could provide a new add-on treatment to reduce the risk of further heart problems and improve recovery after a heart attack.
What could go wrong
This is a phase 4 real-world study, so it builds on existing knowledge rather than testing a brand-new approach. The pill may not significantly lower complication rates beyond standard care, and individual results may vary.
