New tool lets lung cancer patients help pick their radiation dose
NCT ID NCT04940936
Summary
This study is testing a decision-making tool designed to help patients be more involved in planning their radiation treatment. It's for people with lung tumors very close to the chest wall, where radiation can cause pain or rib fractures. The tool helps patients and doctors together choose between a higher dose (more effective but more risk) or a lower dose (less risk but potentially less effective).
