Summary
This study, called SHARE, watches for infections that people get while in the hospital and tracks germs that are resistant to antibiotics. Researchers will collect swabs from 1,500 hospital patients to see if carrying certain germs can give an early warning of dangerous outbreaks. The goal is to help hospitals better prevent, find, and stop these hard-to-treat infections.
