First seen Jan 11, 2026 · Last updated Jun 17, 2026 · Updated 23 times

Summary

This study looks at whether a short, low-intensity exercise test called SHAPE-HF can be used before surgery to measure aerobic fitness in adults over 60. The goal is to see if it's practical and if results relate to recovery and complications after surgery. Participants attend one 35-minute visit and a follow-up phone call. No changes to medical care are involved.
