Fight fungus faster? study tests if longer shampoo treatment works better
NCT ID NCT07471178
Summary
This study aims to find out if using a medicated shampoo for seven days works better than the standard three-day treatment for a common skin fungal infection called pityriasis versicolor. Researchers will compare how well the fungus is cleared and check for any side effects in people using the two different treatment lengths. The goal is to see if a longer treatment is more effective, especially in hot, humid climates where the infection can be stubborn.
