First seen Jan 10, 2026 · Last updated May 01, 2026 · Updated 15 times

Summary

This study tests whether taking a drug called sotagliflozin along with a short-term ketogenic diet can improve the quality of heart scans used to detect inflammation from cardiac sarcoidosis. Forty healthy volunteers will take the drug for a week and follow the diet for 1 or 3 days before a PET scan. The goal is to see if this approach better suppresses normal heart sugar uptake, making inflamed areas easier to spot.
