First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 23, 2026 · Updated 32 times

Summary

This study is checking if a type of diabetes medicine called SGLT-2 inhibitors (or 'flozins') can lower the risk of serious heart problems and limb complications in people who have had surgery to open blocked leg arteries. Researchers will look back at 300 patients who had the surgery at least a year ago and compare those who took the drug to those who did not. The goal is to see if the drug helps prevent heart attacks, strokes, repeat procedures, or amputations.
