Summary
This study looked at whether a special type of sexual counseling (called the Ex-PLISSIT model) could improve sexual quality of life and satisfaction for women who have a permanent stoma (a surgically created opening in the belly). Thirty-two married women with a stoma for at least 6 months took part. The counseling aimed to help them feel more comfortable and satisfied with their sexual relationships.
